What does ISO 9001:2015 mean for the organisation?
Currently you have three years for full transition from publication (By September 2018). Within this period, you can change your systems at your own pace using your continued assessments to bench mark stages and progress.
There is no requirement for a documented system although you do still require systems and procedures. The new standard lends itself towards much more user friendly electronic systems management allowing top management to engage in a manner that suits the “Context of the organisation “(appropriate, proportionate and bespoke to your organisation needs, size and sector)
Annex SL, the new high level structure and common text for all new and revised ISO standards, is the single biggest change to the ISO 9001:2015 document. Other topics that are new to ISO 9001 include: a] organisational context (clause 4), b] knowledge (clause 9), c] the control of externally provided products and services (outsourcing, clause 8) and d] the formal introduction of a risk based approach (several clauses), among others
